College and Adults

The Honors also offers programs to college students who need to improve their study skills, test taking skills, reading comprehension and reading speed as well as those who need help with developmental math. These students go through the same pre-admission testing using the same nationally-normed tests used for younger students, because these tests pick up weaknesses in basic skills including comprehension, vocabulary, reading fluency, spelling, academic knowledge and all areas of math through Algebra II.

Adults who enter our program are usually in need of improving their skills in reading comprehension, vocabulary, and basic math skills in order to take on the job tests for the purpose of promotion or a job search. They often come to us for GED preparation when they have not had success in other programs or they specifically want an individualized program.
